Toyota Express Lane Technician

Position Title: Express Lane Technician

Department: Service

Reports To: Service Manager / Shop Foreman

Employment Type: Full-Time / Part-Time

Position Summary

The Toyota Express Lane Technician is responsible for performing high-quality, efficient maintenance services on customer vehicles as part of the Toyota Express Maintenance team. This role focuses on completing routine services—such as oil changes, tire rotations, fluid checks, and multi-point inspections—while maintaining Toyota’s high standards for safety, accuracy, and customer satisfaction. The Express Technician works in a fast-paced environment and plays a key role in ensuring a positive service experience for every customer.

Key Responsibilities
Perform Toyota Express Maintenance services including:

  • Oil and filter changes
  • Tire rotations and air pressure adjustments
  • Brake inspections
  • Battery tests and replacements
  • Fluid top-offs and checks
  • Cabin and engine air filter replacements
  • Conduct thorough multi-point inspections following Toyota guidelines.
  • Document all services performed, inspection findings, and recommended repairs.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Use proper tools, equipment, and personal protective gear at all times.
  • Communicate clearly with service advisors, technicians, and managers regarding vehicle status.
  • Follow all dealership, manufacturer, and OSHA safety procedures.
  • Continuously develop technical skills through Toyota training and certification programs.

Qualifications Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
  • Ability to operate manual and automatic transmissions
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills

Preferred:

  • Previous automotive maintenance or technician experience
  • Completion of an automotive technology program (high school or post-secondary)
  • Toyota training or certifications

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Comfortable working around moving vehicles, machinery, and tools.
